Murray & Company seeks to actively support the communities in which we work.
Working with Education Partners – CFA Investment Research Challenge
Recently, Rhiannon Evans (Associate Director) mentored a team of finance students from University of Canterbury College of Business and Economics to successfully win the 2008 CFA Investment Research Challenge. She will continue to work with the team, and will attend the Asia Pacific regional finals to be held in Singapore in March 09. The firm actively encourages participation with Education Partners such as Canterbury’s College of Business and Economics; we wish to facilitate an environment which inspires students to think commercially and competitively at a national and global level.
Contributing to New Zealand’s Economic Future – Scholarship & Work Experience Placement
As part of our belief in fostering home-grown talent, we have initiated an annual investment banking scholarship and a summer internship programme to assist talented undergraduate students from the Schools of Business at the Universities of Otago, Canterbury and Lincoln. We are working with both universities to promote a reciprocal arrangement aimed at stimulating career interest in investment banking and providing students with a better understanding of the industry. Select one of the following links for specific details relating to the scholarship and the work experience placement.
Supporting a Vibrant Arts Environment – Christchurch Arts Festival & Christchurch Symphony Orchestra
We believe that a vibrant arts environment can inspire, entertain and provoke thought.
The Christchurch Arts Festival and The Cabaret Festival brings to the South Island not only iconic New Zealand artists across all forms of the arts, but also an incredible array of international artists and performances. Clare Murray, one of our Directors, chairs the Board of Trustees of the Festival.
Also, Justin Murray, our Managing Director, is on the Board of Trustees of the Christchurch Symphony Foundation, which supports the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
