Nebula 2019: fruitful platform for Emerging Canterbury Artists


Nebula 2019 opened its doors to over 200 Murray & Co guests for this emerging Canterbury artists opening night – on the three upper floors of the restored heritage building at 110 Armagh Street above The Permit Room.  Stunning artworks, purchased by many, were enjoyed by all – not to mention enjoyment also of the stunning views across Victoria Square to the Town Hall where many of the Christchurch Arts Festival’s shows are scheduled.

Participating artists featured in this exhibition which runs the duration of the Christchurch Arts Festival 2019 include Richard Elderton, Blair Hoets, Sarah Hodgkinson, Micaela Irvine, Jackson Kearney, Viv Kepe, Vivienne Murchison, Hannah Phillips, Lee Richardson, Alicia Skeaff, Sam Walker, Vickey Zeng, Min-Young Her, Liam Krijgsman and Emma Wallbanks.

Thanks in particular are extended to Anup and Sadhana Nathu from The Permit Room for use of this temporary gallery space and to the University of Canterbury’s School of Fine Arts for their support and time.
